RE: The Misconceptions of WWII Ground Combat

<r> KG, yes air power is under played in SPWaW but thats because it is a ground combat game, and air power was not always avialable. RE: The Misconceptions of WWII Ground Combat

<t> KG I would dissagree. While infantry still did most of the work it was the tank thsat changed warfare. WW1 was not a mobile affair. yet WW2 with only a few exceptions in the west and Rusisa at least was one giant war of movement. This is do to the tank more than air power. From the calavry like ...

Only two other wargames even come close to SPWAW. Both are board games ASL (Steel Panthers is after all basivcally ASL for the PC) and battletech because it has the msot richly developed story line of any game not set in real history.

RE: M4 Sherman Series not modeled accurately?

<t> ya the USSR didn't really make a good medium from 1942 (introductiin of the Pz-IVf2) Until the introduction of the T-54. The problem was a great design with a pi** poor gun. The USSR had the D-10T 100mm HV canon in WW2 but failed to use it properly in a tank. Just in the SU-100 (limited producti...

Go into prefrences and set the AI battlpoints lower while boosting your own. You may have simiiar sized core forces but the extra points will give you expendables.

Engineers can clear a 30M quite quickly. The idea is not to remove all the mines but create a marked safe lane of travel Rough two paths spaced apart equal to the width of the primary viehicles following the engineers.
