Funny you mentioin that, Hertston. If it weren't for the Alexander the Great movie by Oliver Stone (who knew it was going to be so awful?), we were going to do Tin Soliders: Battles of the Bible as our first game. Unfortunately, it would have ...

RE: Tin Soldiers Peloponnesian War

<t> True, a Biblical Wars game would be pretty cool. But if there is a TS3... I just thought of something. Instead of making small games, one theme at a time, why not put the effort into putting together the complete miniature experience? Make it cost a bit more, but include all sorts of armies and ...

Be very careful of 25mm ancients. Although some use 25mm, 15mm is very much the standard and you will find a much bigger choice of figures in that scale. In my own experience (again only in the UK), I never met <I><s></s>anyone<e></e ...

A (historical) Spartan Army is particularly tricky as your core Spartiate units come expensive. Not generally as expensive as historically they should be (making any unit that more effective than equivalents distorts gameplay too much), but ...

Quick tip... when you have chosen your period and scale, pick an army that isn't overly common. Firstly, it helps in getting games (the umpteen guys with Napoleonic French armies always welcome the bloke with the Prussians), and secondly ...

Tin Soldiers Peloponnesian War

<t> I personally think it would be amazing if Tin Soldiers had a sequel (although going backwards in time) that used the Peloponnesian War for a campaign. It would be really cool to be able to battle as any of the participants (to allow for much more replayability than Alexander the Great, letting ...

Real Miniatures?

Does anybody here actually play real miniature wargames? Personally, I've been really interested in starting up an army and getting into playing. But since I have nobody to really play with (I'm looking around for places in Toronto, but no luck so far) ATG is all I have for now.

<t> Well, this "frustration" turned out to be a good thing after all. I went back and played Granicus again... this time I SMOKED Memnon and got a Major victory worth 595 points. Oddly enough... I didn't really get all that ticked off with this, I just got happy again as soon as I started playing ...

Ok, this is strange. Now that I restarted my computer it worked perfectly fine. I guess it was a one time glitch or something. But still, this could be something to look into as it might happen again since I am not the only one who has experienced it.

Same thing just happened to me, as I was loading for the Granicus battle, it just hangs at 50%. I haven't noticed any ping noises, but it just sits there at 50%. Has a solution for this problem been found?
