RE: Screen Names

That's the point after all, isn't it? Enjoy the game and have fun. (Or else!)

Though.. explaining my screen name? It's kinda boring. I'm Jenn. :P

RE: Still trying to get a PBEM game started if anyone's interested

Problems with the game meant that we couldn't. :( It was a shame, too. I was looking forward to getting my butt kicked by the Polish defenders!

Newbie

<r> Hey all. <E>:)</E><br/> <br/> Although I've been playing this game for just under a year, I like to classify myself as a newbie, especially since I've only played PBEM like three or four times, and I'm looking for an opponent that doesn't mind playinga newbie. I'm especially looking for those th...

<r> Whoa. Too much hostility!<br/> <br/> I for one consider that a succesful mission myself. RE: The Grand Lady of Tactical Gaming

<r> I'm sticking to Steel Panthers. <E>:)</E> This was the first game I ever played for hours on an end before I even knew what on earth it was. I got the demo on a computer gaming world magazine (I like it 'cuz they had animated talking heads, and their reviews were audio) when I was just about 7 o...

RE: Parachutes in PBEM

Using gliders actually doesn't sound like a bad idea at all. I'm gonna have to give that a try instead of my usual (ill fated) parachuting. Thanks. :)

RE: Parachutes in PBEM

Brutal. Two companies completely obilirated, right? Not fun!

I guess it's safe to say I should avoid using paratroopers in PBEM's, then? Unless playing on a MASSIVE map.

RE: Parachutes in PBEM

That's actually my biggest fear. Finding the perfect location and dropping in, only to find out the place is the opponent's reserves or arty+aa+inf place.

Parachutes in PBEM

<r> Hey all. <E>:)</E><br/> <br/> I've got a question for you. I love using elite infantry and special forces stuff whenever I can in campaigns and scenarios, no matter the fact I'm not really all that good at it. But now that I'm starting to try to get into the PBEM scene, I'd like some tips at usi...

RE: The Follies of Armored Warfare

<r> I for one would like to say that the days of the tank are coming to an end. Infantry has always been the most powerful tool of warfare, and remains the most important part of the army today; just like it has been for thousands of years. Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't there anti-tank guns fo...

RE: Still trying to get a PBEM game started if anyone's interested

<r> SP: WaW is 8.4 (Free edition), without any mods. That's it, at least as far as I know. Last update patch I downloaded was "SteelPanthersWorldAtWarUpdate-v840". <E>:)</E><br/> <br/> I don't know of any places to download maps, but I'll try looking for some. RE: Hello to all strategic gamers

<r> Exactly! I start my turn, and by the end of it, I find myself forgetting what I did first. Assign a huge missile barrage at the beginning of the turn.. then at the end of it, forget about it, and charge the enemy. Two turns later, my assault force has mysteriously dissapeared. Not my fault! <E>:...

RE: Still trying to get a PBEM game started if anyone's interested

8.4 as well, an 1700 sounds great, especially on a smaller map. :)

If you prefer arty at 140 we can do that, too. Eitherway is fine.

What sides should be played?

<r> I'm willing to play a PBEM game. <E>:)</E> Though I'm not sure if we can; I've got SP:WaW (the free one) and it's latest patch from the MatrixGames website, but I've never heard of the multimod. RE: Deadly Diversion fight commentary

<r> I'm playing the game, but I think I'm doing the other campaign (Not the northern) first.<br/> <br/> I beat the first mission easily enough, with my indigenous squad of 4 (with small arms) fighting off two Japanese squads on its own, and only lost two men itself. I was very impressed. <E>:)</E><b...

Small Scale Battles

<r> Hey all. <E>:)</E><br/> <br/> I've been playing SP:WaW and SP:MBT for quite a while now and I love them both, but I've always had one big problem with it; the ammount of small scale battles is almost depressing! It seems that every campaign and scenario I try out has 50+ tanks or 100+ squads of ...

I downloaded a trial version of TPS-3, and it reported no trojans. =) I suppose it's A2's fault then.

Thanks for the replies!
