Well, mine is a 1960 Corvette, but it is 13 years older than I. I am ashamed to say, that from the first moment I saw a Corvette, I was hooked. I bought it in 1978, may God and Matrix forgive me. There is no other love than Corvette.

I remember playing my first wargame, "Broadsides", when I was 14. That was 57 years ago.

Nice!! [8D]

See Wodin, getting older isn't as bad as it might first seem. At 50 you have plenty of time for new adventures, even if it means diving into the past.
You and the rest, you forgot the first rule of the fanatic: When you become obsessed with the enemy, you become the enemy.

In my younger days I never thought I would see 50. I could not imagine it. Now I'm at 67+ and going strong. You'll be surprised. Think young.

50 today, what the hell happened!!

Scary how time flies the older you get!

I was a fresh faced 31 when I joined here!!

LOL! It's all perspective?
I'd take fifty again. I'm just shy of 70 by almost two years.
If I make it that far I will let you know what it feels like.

But, I am sure that an eighty year old will tell us that they would take seventy again?

RR

If I'm still around I'll let you know. I turn 80 next year!

What can I say. I said my 1960 Corvette is 13 years older than me. I am so ashamed. It is actually 13 years younger than me. Yeah. We Marines fess up to mistakes, but we still don't take kindly to idjits.

What is the first sign of old age?

Hmmmm . . . I just don't remember!

Time is relentless and takes its toll on you hard after 50. I remember when I used to run 6 miles a day after work every day. Now I only walk about 1 1/2 - 2 miles a day and I'm exhausted and need an old man nap after the walk (napping in the middle of the day) just to cope with the effort put forth. I'm 8 years ahead of you and all I can say is time is going to get faster and faster, so enjoy what you can still do now while you can.

Happy birthday.
