Got a new Fly Rod. A previous one was chewed in half by my one eyed, nearly blind in the other, Boston Terrier. He was ticked that I was done fishing. You can't grab a rod without him hanging with you the whole time. If in a rod holder, he actually tries to crank the handle at times. If I'm catfishin, he'll stare at the bell waiting for it to 'ring' and then come get me.

Dog loves fishing.

This is so awesome! My dog likes to fish too, but he's more into finding new territory to mark when we're out.

Retire? I'm 15 years away from my 58 y.o. mark that I plan to retire at. Poor Squiggy will be...er...um...fishing in that big lake in the sky by then.

What a great gift. I remember when my daughter did that. Redemption was another matter though. [;)]

berto, how is the book so far?

Allen Guelzo's "Gettysburg, The Last Invasion" is masterful. A terrific read. Maybe the best Gettysburg book, and one of the best Civil War battle accounts ever. 39 maps too!

In Sweden the Father's Day is in November so I doubt that many fathers got such nice treatment.

Then I hope that you both will have many nice fishing trips before then.

A little belated but I got an entry to a 12 hour running event.
Should be getting a little over 50 miles, if I avoid injury.

Always a little bit of an unknown when you do that sort of distance.
