Home Page or straight to forums?

Post by Hexed Gamer »

Recently (just yesterday in fact) I adjusted my bookmarks for the forums.

I used to just click on my favourite bookmark, and poof right to the forums (like these forums for instance).

But I have found I often miss useful front page (Home page) news items this way.

Because the latest wargaming gossip, is NOT always the hot topic of the moment on a forum.

So what if it takes me a few mouse clicks to actually get in here. I hope my life is not so short I actually have to worry about lost time eh :)

Just curious (as always), do people come straight to forums via bookmark bypassing the home page of the forums they like?
Or do you walk in past the opening page where the news items are normally put?

Forums

There are so many wargaming forums that all news will eventually filter down.

I've found that 'Firefox' doesn't want to link straight to the forums. I don't mind because it does sometimes let me pick up on news that I might otherwise miss.

I tried Firefox, and I rather liked some of the features.

But I found it never liked my log in or rather it had selective memory with my auto login in at a variety of forums.

I have the more recent "finished" 1.0 file but haven't gotten around to checking it out yet.

I guess I am just not one of the "I hate IE" masses.

Not that I think it's great, I just don't mind that IE always does what I expected it to do.

I'm using Firefox 1.0 and I find it does everything I need it to do. I have found that some sites do respond to IE in a more satisfactory fashion (so to speak [;)]). For me, it's a small security issue that sways me to use Firefox most of the time and I've got so used to it now that I find using IE a bit cumbersome.
