Matrix publishing new version of Harpoon 3?

Post by NefariousKoel »

I saw an announcement on AGB's site about v3.7 being published by Matrix. Have I just missed the announcement? I know it's still in beta - just thought I'd stop in and check.

Yes, we will be publishing a new version presently titled Harpoon 3: Advanced Naval Warfare. I can't provide any details beyond that at this point, but when we and AGSI are ready there will be a lot of info available.

Looked very interesting (never having played Harpoon) until I saw the price in the catalogue [:(] . Come up with a decent printed manual and I might think about it, but with just a .pdf - no chance.

Being a modern Naval veteran of ten years, I am intrigued.
I have the original Harpoon Classic + battlesets. Tossed H2
around abit. Seen H'97. Was waiting on another H game, and
it got cancelled. Now, I run into this post. Hmmm...

Where is this link so I can ck it out as well... thanks in adv.

I also saw something about switching the old user keys for new Matrix ones for those who've already purchased it. Does this mean that Matrix will host future updates for H3? I haven't picked up the other Harpoon just yet but was wondering if I'm still going to get support with this one too.

In short, yes, but more info will be coming soon, but I don't want to get into details until we are ready. Suffice it to say that we are working together with AGSI to make sure that, at all times, any transition for existing customers is smooth and that full support continues to be provided. We will not be doing anything without making sure that it's planned out, agreed to and tested before inflicting it on customers. [8D]

Ya know I said the same thing but ended up getting it anyway. Glad I did. If you want a hard manual hunt up H2 on Amazon or half.com. That comes with the manuals and should'nt cost but a few dollars. The game comes with some tutorials and thats all you really need. HarpoonHq's has some pdf key charts that you can get. I made them so they must be good. [;)]
