download question

Stupid me, so I never backed up my matrix games (CCCoI and CCMT), and now I'd like to redownload them. Its been over a year but i still have the links, passwords, card numbers, and serial keys etc. I get to the website and download the games, install them, update them without problems. Then I try to play them and they are choppy/laggy. It can't be a problem with my computer because I run LSA just fine. I've tried redownloading, playing with video settings, turning off background programs, installing under programfiles/x86, even running them under different compatibility settings all with the same result. Any ideas on what is going on here?
