Font/text issues with Uncommon Valor - Please help

Post by mashkis »

I just got Uncommon Valor and I have an issue with the font / text on all of the screens. The font is bold and it is overlapping which makes it very difficult to read. I have look at the screenshots of other players and theirs look fine. Is there a way to change the font in UV? Any alternative graphics or screens?

Thanks,
Mash

Check your Windows Display DPI settings. And set them to "normal" 96dpi.

Display Properties -> Settings -> Advanced -> Genral

I switched my dpi from 120 to 96 and restarted my machine but I still have the same issue. The text is bold and overlapping. Any other suggestions?

Unreadable fonts on UV (Windows XP):

This is due to Xp´s "ClearType" feature. In order to fix this problem just disable ClearType.

To disable ClearType font smoothing, right-click on your desktop, select Properties, select the Appearance tab and press the Effects button. There is a drop down box to choose between Standard or ClearType font smoothing.

Just click standard font and your good to go.
