Small Arms Quantity

Post by Strategiusz »

In Combat Mission games (at least the old ones) an infantry squad, let's say 7 men, would have 7 rifles/pistols, generally small arms, and possibly one or more heavy or team weapons.

Here in the Weapons tab, an infantry squad always has one AK or M16. Regardless of the size of the squad. Does the game assume that one small arms weapon is for one soldier, or that there is one for the entire squad?

At the same time, weapons like RPGs are sometimes listed in several pieces. And sometimes there is 1 piece of ammo for one listed RPG, and sometimes more.

We track the major heavy weapons in the infantry and note the rifles as a single entry as the SA (small arms) ratings are low. Combat mission is a level of resolution lower and tracks each soldier where we are dealing with squads or teams at the our lowest level.
OTS is looking forward to Southern Storm getting released!
