i wish there was more military and diplomatic options

instead of a fullscale war i wish there was special military operations to setup protectorates and vassals
what if i just want to liberate a planet and setup a bufferstate with limited attrition.
benefiting from trade deals and them being loyal to me.
it would remove the invasion debuff and maybe give a happiness buff as i spread freedom.
