Random Scenario Generator

Hi all !
I don't own the game yet, and so I wanted to ask some questions about the 'Random Scenario Generator', because I can't find precise infos. For example, through the few videos I saw, I had the feeling that it was always the same map, only troops were changing.
So...

How much random is it ? Does it takes randomly a map ? Or can you choose it ?
How do you feel about the quality of play compared to a handcrafted scenario ?
How much replayability do you feel it adds ?

Do you have good and/or bad points about it ?

Per the free Manual, start at page 91, much info for your questions.
Per the quality & replay value...it is very good. imho
