Successful Second Time Around Game Bug: ATR goes into endless firing loop

Post by Ironwulf »

I've started this scenario twice but have never finished a battle because a unit goes into an endless loop during their fire phase.

To replicate this:
Play as the Axis. During the Advance and Assault phase on your first turn, move the armored column up by 1 hex for each vehicle. You only have one choice as to the destination hex so you always end up in the same place after the move.

During the Allied fire phase, a stack in the treeline to the north has 2 squads each with a PTRD. They will always fire on the lead vehicle in the column which is a PIIIJ. The first squad fires, hit or miss, I don't believe they can even penetrate based on the compared values but it fires anyhow. Then the next squad fires its PTRD rifle at the IIIJ and it will continue to fire on it in an endless loop. Sometimes hitting, sometimes missing - but never able to penetrate the IIIj's armor value.

At this point I can't seem to get the battle to progress beyond this endless cycling of the PTRD so I just quit.

Tried it a second time and the game did the exact same thing.

Looks like a great battle but there is definitely something wrong with this scenario.
