No offensive combat graphic display appears

Hello,

When I fire at an opponent, no graphic "yellow line and explosion" display appears. But, it does appear when the AI opponent fires back. The Markers .BMP files do exist in the graphic folder too.

You are referring to 2D, right?

In 3D, I see tracer lines and explosions for both own-side (in)direct fire and opposing-side opfire.

In 2D, for (in)direct fire, I see the explosion graphic but not the tracer line. I will see about correcting that omission in the next release.

Yes, in 2D....Also, I went back and checked in the game and actually, there is no tracer line or explosion graphic when I fire into a hex that is visibly empty. Thanks

Thanks for the clarification. The ability to fire into apparently empty hexes was a more recent addition. In the legacy JTCS, you could only fire at known enemy.

Ok, but will tracer and explosion graphics be added when firing into empty hexes? Also noted , the AI, when firing from an apparently empty hex, does display tracer and explosion graphics.
