no, it has no adverse effects.

but if its in a ZoC almost all the benefits of refit are lost

It really shouldn't ... but the author has been known to get things wrong

if it does, give us the reference and we'll correct in the Living Manual but it never has in any of the WiTx series

like reserve, refit is neutral if the unit is directly attacked

Quick question: what does the Off Rail MP: # indicate in the hex pop-up information square?

Thanks!

MP cost to the nearest working rail line.

I think its a bit of a legacy from WiTE1 where it was really important, given really what matters in WiTE2 is distance to the nearest depot with sufficient freight. But its a handy quick reckoner as to where you have outrun the supply net.

What is the "Transit Pool"?

Are those going to be in the "active" pool next turn? Are some of them going to be in the "active" pool next turn (or is it likely that a number of them will be in the active pool next turn)?

I'm still not 100% confident on logistics so I'm trying to get a better feel for how my stuff is refitting.

yes transit pool is ready/built but not yet available. So will be in the active pool next turn. Depending on what you are tracking, its often a good idea to set that table to active.

other thing to remember is the sequence of allocation.

what is left in the Active pool from last turn, is used for allocation this turn, THEN the pool is replenished from the transit elements. So sometimes it looks like there is quite a lot in there (say Soviet manpower) but what is actually useable that turn can be substantially limited

add them to a Pzr division and they will be absorbed, replacing losses. Since its really hard to get Pzrs to refit at the front this solves most of your problems with losses in the first winter.

described in 26.1.6. You can keep them as normal SU and attach to say a Mot division (in which case they are not absorbed). But they don't really upgrade much so will stay stuck with early 1942 armour models and become obsolete

tank icon in OOB represents only tanks or all AFVs?

if it is AFVs then it does not play nicely with AFVs graph
(this is beginning of an air phase)

that is not my question

my question is if value to the right of tank icon in OOB 3,685(2,552) represents AFVs or only tanks
because on a graph with AFVs this value is higher

if it is meant to represent AFVs then one of this values is incorrect(or maybe both)

I would expect, just for consistency, it would follow the pattern of "Men", "Guns", "AFVs", "Aircraft".

That is basic User-Interface design 101. But..... I could be biased in trying to make order out of chaos?

You aren't actually trying to reconcile the numbers are you?

You aren't really supposed to do that. Just accept them. ;)

Hanny

I've just had a look, this seems to be an axis issue:

which in itself tells me something. The chart is all Axis AFV, the table splits German from others.

In that save I have Hungarian armour reporting to OKH (indirectly) so that adds some complication if I go via the HQ tab.

Now the table, like the turn summary is fixed off the data before the turn opens. The OOB chart reflects decisions and actions in the turn. In this case I've just deleted a Soviet Mech corp and yep, the numbers are different:

Which makes sense, we want the OOB chart to be dynamic, we can keep the graphs at fixed points so they are comparable.

So, simple, Axis is not just German, fixed off a given point vs dynamic.

But then actually checking is less fun ,,, ?

false alarm
