I just got this WITE2, but I played a little WITE1. There's something I don't understand.

1 turn is a week, so on the first turn, when I will move my troops it will be during an entire week. But on the air phase, for the missions I may choose which days the missions will take place ! That's surprising !!

All the more, for the recon missions, soviet troops won't move before the end of my turn, so what does it changes that I do these missions on day 1, 2 or 7 ???
Yes, you play 7 days and then Soviets play the exact same 7 days.

The chance to choose between the days in the Air War has 3 reasons I can come up with.
1. Each Plane can only fly a certain range each day, also some get damaged, those will then get repaired and supplies refilled/mileage reduced the next day(s), so you can fly again the following day already/eventually. If there's no supplies around to be transported to the airfield, they will not fly.
2. The same planes can do different missions in a week (when not "directly assigned" to one specific Mission), so you can give order to all Bombers of a Air Army to bomb city A for 3 days and city B for the other 4 days.
3. You can "counter" enemy missions. If both players do their missions 7 days a week this is redundant ofc., but if one player only flies missions on Monday and Saturday you'd know exactly when to set your Air Superiority Missions to counter him, without wasting Planes/Supplies on the other days.

Greetings Herr Wiedrock,

I haven't played for a while. I do recall that there was significant difference in terms of multiple day assignments and air mission between game AI created and player created. Game AI allowed the partitioning of missions per AG in a temporal sense. But I recall when the player did so, despite days, the assignment was an exclusive allocation.

Did you see this in your own play, or do I have it wrong?

Thanks.

I don't know, I have never rly examined AI.
For me, when manually setting the game using whole Air Armies for multiple ADs everything works/seems as it should concerning days/priority.

There was a latter change that gave High Command HQs unlimited command range
Thanks. Are you talking about update 01.04.05? I'm asking because I read the logo, but maybe I missed this change. Also there is a number on the HQ encounter of the army group that shows the distance to the OKH.

But does that mean these numbers are no longer important?
Can this be confirmed?

Does anyone knows the exact meaning of Total Freight Losses right after Unit Trucks Used in the logistics phase report means? Is that means the freight losses during the train transportation due to interdiction or is it also included the freight losses depots to individual units?

I can say with somewhat certainty that it has nothing to do with train/railroads.

I'll attach some of my tries to make sense of the numbers shown, altough it is not exactly anserwing the Number you want to know about, not sure if we in Doscord ever figured that one out completely. The problem is as in every accounting process as a creator you need to know what you want to show with a number, and to understand the number you need to know what the creator of the chart has shown/included in those numbers. Otherwise it is all just white noise.

A suggestion of mine is to not take those numbers too serious. Sometimes you think you've figured it out, all makes sense and then suddenly you get numbers that do not make any sense applying the logic you applied before. This applies to Trucks (InUnits, InPool, InDepots ...) and Freight equally ...since Trucks influence Freight deliveries in multiple ways depending on where the Truck delivering the freight came from (as said before InUnits or InPool or InDepots).

Picture below: Horse Food (217-219 tons) - Horse delivery is within 3 Hexes of an Depot

The SUs (in HQs) and the CUs need to be ~10Hex away from the next enemy Unit (something like this) and additionally they need to stand on a Hex which has a (functioning) railway. Only then they can be Transferred to other TBs. Similar rule goes for Disbanding units, they just do not need the additional railway.
