A very important question on the mind by many of us. Probably followed by HOW MUCH?

HOW MUCH? has absolutely nothing to do with it ... all that matters is WHEN! :-)

Easy to answer: when it's ready. [8D]

This is going to be the video game equivalent of Winds of Winter. Wait until it gets delayed again.

As a former Tester for WITE1/2 I've got to say I'm VERY looking forward to this. I know a modicum of what goes on behind the scenes in terms of dedication, time, commitment, skill, testing, balance, realism and collaboration. Hope ALL involved are doing well

When I was interviewed by Matrix back in December, IIRC, I said it was looking like early Spring 2021. So far we're still looking in that range. We hope to be asking for a few more beta testers in a few weeks, and this time it will be beta not alpha testing (i.e. all systems are in, just debugging and balancing). We're actually down to just a few more small rule changes from being at beta and are wrapping up the manual and hope to send it to layout this week. I hope we will do a better job than the Germans did in 41 and not wait till summer. [:)]

early Spring '21 would be friggen awesome you know, because spring is only 8 weeks away. But as I recall the initial invasion was pushed back from Spring, as another pointed out above, to June 21, as a group of young men took a Balkan detour. Had they not our game would be very different indeed.

And "how much," to most of us, given the scale of this operation, is of much less concern. though I know many a disabled vets for whom cost is always an issue.

Couldn't you folks provide a discount for disabled vets ( I am not honored to be included in this class but I know a field marshal who is.)

As you mention the manual - do you plan to make the manual available for download prior to release? It would definitely help me to make the waiting time feel shorter and get into the game more quickly once it is released.

All the information provided here indicates that this will be a great game, but one which will require having read the manual closely and possibly more than once (just like WitP(AE), which I love !)

Thanks

If so, are you looking for experienced beta testers or new ones too?

That would be about perfect. 80th year anniversary.

I am ready to put in my ore-order. Will it be on Steam? Helps a lot to manage my game library.

I vote for June 22nd. It is the perfect date.

As a software developer, "release asap" and "release at an artificial date for completely out of development reasons" are both giving me massive nightmares. And sadly, that's the industry standard, and I wish somehow the devs here can escape this and release the product when they feel it's ready.
This surely will also guarantee a much better first impression for all the hungry players.

I just learned from today's live-stream that pre-order of WitE2 will be possible from Feb 23.
My question is: "What is the incentive to actually pre-order?"

Does this mean there will not be a Spring offensive?
