Just wondering: what audio do y'all have running in the background when playing WITE2?

Soviet Songs? podcasts? audiobooks? documentaries?

I don't listen to anything. I rarely listen to music! It prevents me from thinking! I usually play music on the road or when I'm preparing food.
Sorry, i use an online translator :(

Game music level is set on zero and then I listen to showtunes or a variety of battle music from various free internet sources. For example, 2 Steps from hell and hell marches for start and then Ennio Morricone.

I go out on You Tube and typically will play Hearts of Iron 4 or 3 in the background. Generally good mood music for conquering (or not) Russia....

I usually either listen to a specific album or three from my library on iTunes or just let iTunes randomly choose from my library.
The Library consists of my musical taste of the last 48 yrs spanning genres such as Prog rock, Phsycadelic rock, Ambient electronic, Experimental electronic, Dance ( house ,techno, tribal) Drum and bass and more besides.
Unfortunately for the game designers who no doubt spent hours creating the sound effects and music , I turn off the in game music and all sound effects even the mouse click!

Same! I love music, but I find it distracting when trying to think.

I consider myself a music lover ... maybe that's why I'm totally incapable of listening to music and concentrating deeply on something else if it plays. If I want to play WitE I have to do it without background music

Well this is an interesting post.
I seem to always start with Pink Floyd. After that it could be anything from CNSY to Johnny Cash to Mozart depending on my mood. Headphones are a must. Zone on!

I usually open one of You Tube's thousands of choices to play in the background. I play whatever music matches my mood at the time - from a lone sad cello to 1940's music to metal rock instrumental. There are also ambient sound videos there, such as a blizzard for doing Winter turns.

Hahahahaha, what a combination Homer!

I listen to the music from the game. Sometimes I can hear the music from the game and the volume is on mute. Now that is scary.

Before I sit down at the PC, I always imagine how I will turn on some long-listened album or radio news. But as soon as the game loads, any noise immediately starts to annoy me and I turn it off :) These game clicks are especially annoying.
