hmmm....

I don't think any of my other games require admin privileges and are perfectly happy running in the context of a standard user account.

My guess would be because they choose a subfolder to the exe folder instead of somewhere in <user>/documents folder for save games, and that might be write protected for non admin users ?

I already pointed this out some time ago, but it was ignored. In 2022 this should not happen.
