What does it stand for?

The individual airgroup is described as:

"RAP (Razvedyvatel'nay Aviatsionnyy Polk) – Reconnaissance Aviation Regiment"

so I'd say Reconnaissance Aviation Group. But if i recall its one of those AOG that you can assign a wider range of plane types to than just recon?

yes, i believe you can assign all types you want.

I believe I have found it.

RAG-> Reserve Air Group.

Historically, these were equipped like SAGs, but got the newer planes, better pilots, and were assigned to STAVKA as a reserve.
