need help turning off automate ai air assist

need help turning off automate ai air assist

I have started a pbem game with a friend got a few turns in and wondered why my air directives were netting no kills then i realized that the automate ai was on by default and deletes all my manual air directives and i cant turn it off i tried converting my save to a scenario file to turn it off but it says unable to load scenario or save or not a valid scenario file

is there any way i can fix this or am i stuck with it for the rest of the game
