So the "show movement path" is not working to highlight the hexes you can move to? Have you checked the game preference screen to make sure that preference is still turned on? When it stops working, does stay not working from turn to turn? If you save the game and exit the program and then start the program and load the save, does it still not work?

The "show movement path" is always on , it works fine for couple first turn (2-3 turn) from loading save game, and then it's not working. Its stay not working from turn to turn.
The only way to make it turn is by exiting the game, start the game and load it - 2-3 turn ahead it''s repeating / not functioning again.

yes, I have the same problem. (final version 01.04.01)
the movement path is not displayed, so the units look as if they are frozen.
after saving - quitting the game - restarting the game it works again for a few rounds.

So reloading a save fixes the problem? Is this in a game against the AI? I will mention it to the programmers, but if it's not repeatable from a save it will likely be hard to diagnose. Anyone else having this problem?

managed to reproduce it, playing Vistula to Berlin German side vs AI SU.
Problem started to occur on 3rd Turn (German 2nd Turn).

All fields remain grey and no path-MP-calculation-UI-thingy is shown.

Joel Billings wrote: Tue Oct 29, 2024 10:55 pm Pavel is also trying to figure out the loss of the movement compass issue, as the info we got from our debug exe was not what he was expecting to see, so he has to find another approach on that. At least that bug is fixed by just saving and reloading, but we'd like to figure it out eventually. Giving us the detailed analysis and saves on these combat issues really helps, so thanks again for this.
As feedback to this, I did not have any further occasions of this "all greyed out and no movement path symbol/compass" within weeks now (using Steam).

Yes, we've had probably 5 people report it (including myself), so we know it's there. Pavel is still trying to figure out the next step in trying to debug it. BTW, when this happens, can you still actually move a unit, or are they locked in place until you reload your save? The debug messages we got indicated to Pavel that the unit being looked at had data that it could not move (clearly it should have been able to move). Has anyone tried to move a unit that had lost the move compass but had MPs and should be able to move?

Hello everyone. You can also add me to the list of those experiencing this movement bug.

As reported by others, saving my game, shutting down the program, and then reopening it fixes it until the next occurrence.

I'm late to this topic because I've just returned to playing WITE2 since the final update was released.

Thanks for reporting this. Unfortunately we've had no success in pinning down the cause of this. How long did you play (in terms of turns and actual play time) from the time that you started the game or last loaded a save and when the bug showed up?

I too have been experiencing this bug and the last time it occurred it was just after starting the game and loading up my current campaign the move path did not appear but i could move units as per every other time this has happened.
This is the first time i have encountered it without playing at least 5-7 game turns.
I originally detailed it in this post https://www.matrixgames.com/forums/view ... 7#p5193857

Hi Joel.

It seems to happen every two or three turns. I'll keep a close eye on it and get back to you.

Hi Joel. The 1.04.03 beta update seems to have fixed this problem.

I wish I could say we did something to fix this, but AFAIK, Pavel wasn't able track it down. Whatever is causing it is rare enough that hopefully you won't see it very often, if at all. Thanks for letting us know that you haven't seen it recently.
