Auto-Intercept weather conditions.

Post by Mehring »

I just saw my interceptors set to minimum "poor" weather auto-intercept in very poor weather. WAD?

WAD. IIRC, weather is forecasted to be a given level, but when the flight goes to fly, the weather on the flight path is actually accounting for a weather roll in the originating airbase and in the target hex (and maybe the path, don't remember the exact checks), based on the weather in the hexes. So you can have momentary "acceptable" weather even in a blizzard area. Blizzard doesn't mean that all hexes are under blizzard conditions 24/7.
All understanding comes after the fact.
