How to Install Steel Inferno DLC for WITE2

Hey everyone,

We have received several reports from non-Steam users running into issues on how to properly install the Steel Inferno DLC. In this post we lay out key info and steps to follow to help resolve some confusion.

Installing WITE2 and Steel Inferno DLC from scratch:

1. To install WITE2 and the Steel Inferno DLC you will need 2 files: The Setup installer v01.00.07 and any latest released update, which you can download from either the game's store page or from File Downloads under the My Page section of the Matrix website.

2. Once downloaded, make sure to unzip each file and first run the setup installer, then the update installer.

3. Most of our update installers are known as a MultiUpdateComp, which should include update files for the base game, as well installation files for any expansion content available. When running the update installer you should reach a screen, which will prompt you to install various products. The screen will look something like this:

Pressing the "Select a New Product to Install" will allow you to choose any expansion content, Steel Inferno in this case, then input it's serial key in the field below and press Activate Serial. If you have an appropriate serial key, the product will appear in the bottom field. After you have activated the product, click next and continue with the installation process.

Installing Steel Inferno DLC with WITE2 already installed:

1. Follow step 1 from above, but all you will need is the latest update installer.

2. Unzip the latest update installer and run it.

3. If you already updated WITE2 to the latest version, you may encounter a screen like this:

Simply click Next and agree to the license agreement. Once you have done so, you should be greeted by the same screen as step 3 from above section. Simply activate Steel Inferno product with an appropriate serial key and run the installer to its completion.

Important Note: There is a dedicated Steel Inferno setup installer found HERE. Please do not use this installer as it is made redundant by our update installers.
