Re: 1941-45 reworked OOB
Hello,
I downloaded what i believe was the latest iteration of the GC from you March 18th post. Entitled GC OOB 3.6 axis Hard/ SCEN.7z. Unfortunately when I got to turn 29 in January 1942 the game ended with a Soviet Major victory. I believe the game resulted in a Major soviet victory because I did not take Moscow, Leningrad and Rostov by the end of 1941?
I did like the scenario as it felt more balanced than the one that game came with.

I guess you triggered the Axis sudden loss, as this is checked on turn 29:

Re: 1941-45 reworked OOB
For a few turns in August the German side has negative AP's. Is this supposed to simulate an event during this period?
Re: 1941-45 reworked OOB
There is an event called the "Midsummer OKH crisis", it mimicks the operational problems the Germans had to face IRL between July and August 1941.

Re: 1941-45 reworked OOB
You open the editor and go to the Victory screen. There you can delete/change the sudden loss conditions

Re: 1941-45 reworked OOB
Question. Im on turn 2. I've captured Riga, Minsk and lvov. I hit end turn. On turn 2 , I run recon air directives of recon and a couple other air directives. Now on to ground actions. I see that the soviets have a massive defensive line set and pskov, and on down the river line. Is this a feature of your mod, that if you capture those 3 cities, that the soviets get an event to have the defensive lines set? This is a great mod. I will add that I'm not new, but I'm not a great player , but it sure is addictive.

No, I did not change anything to the AI. Most likely the AI "sees/senses/feels" that the bulk of your motorized units are heading towards Pskov, and it is now getting ready to defend that area. From my internal testings, on the first 2 to 3 turns, the Soviet AI does not have enough units to form a choesive frontline. If you are lucky to either spot gaps in the enmy lines or to identify the Airborne brigades, you can thrive from pocket to pocket.Rick402 wrote: ↑Wed May 14, 2025 2:50 pm Question. Im on turn 2. question on the events for atlantic wall and balkin operation, do i have to transfer the units for said events like the rad viii and 1st and 4th mountain and the other light divisions, do i have to transfer them to okh brfore i can transfer them to their TB destinations for the events to fire? because i cant transfer them if they are attached to corp hqs. can anyone help?Teo41_ITA wrote: ↑Wed May 14, 2025 6:18 pmNo, I did not change anything to the AI. Re: 1941-45 reworked OOB
The VIII RAD has to be moved on T1, since it is attached to AGC and it should be far away from the frontline to directly move it to WE. Same is true for the 1st and 4th Mountain Divisions, just send them before turn 4 (or 6, I don't remember now). No need to go via the OKH.
Re: 1941-45 reworked OOB
a couple other questions. as for this being a historical oob, are the frozen corp hqs going to get their historical divisions? or do i need to do that with the units that are transfered to the map per turn? id like to go historical but if i cant ill just wing it i guess. ya id like to go historical in the game but win, hope you understand what i mean in both those questions. again thank you for all your hard workTeo41_ITA wrote: ↑Tue May 20, 2025 9:17 pm The VIII RAD has to be moved on T1, since it is attached to AGC and it should be far away from the frontline to directly move it to WE. You are in command organizing the new units arriving yourself mostly.Rick402 wrote: ↑Thu May 22, 2025 10:20 pm a couple other questions. as for this being a historical oob, are the frozen corp hqs going to get their historical divisions? or do i need to do that with the units that are transfered to the map per turn? id like to go historical but if i cant ill just wing it i guess. ya id like to go historical in the game but win, hope you understand what i mean in both those questions. again thank you for all your hard work
