Tank fuel use

Post by panzer51 »

I'm looking at T-38 for example. It has fuel use 13, ammo use 3. So what are the units? Historically the tank had a 120 liter fuel tank. Same for ammo? what exactly does it mean? Thanks

In War in the East 2, the "fuel use" and "ammo use" values listed for units such as the T-38 represent abstractions of the unit's logistical requirements rather than direct representations of historical values. These values are used to simulate the logistical challenges of keeping units supplied with fuel and ammunition in the game, and are not intended to represent precise historical values for these resources.

In the case of the T-38, the "fuel use" value of 13 means that each T-38 unit in the game consumes 13 units of fuel per turn. Similarly, the "ammo use" value of 3 means that each unit consumes 3 units of ammunition per turn. These values are used to simulate the logistical challenges of supplying units with fuel and ammunition, and are not intended to represent precise historical values for the tank's fuel tank or ammunition storage.

Overall, it's important to remember that War in the East 2 is a game, and as such, certain abstractions and simplifications are necessary to make the gameplay experience manageable and enjoyable. While the values listed for units such as the T-38 may not correspond precisely to historical values, they are designed to provide a balanced and challenging gameplay experience that captures the essence of the Eastern Front during World War II.
