Everything should be working fine now. I have had 3-5 request to access it via google links.

So all should be well.

Literally made an account on this forum to ask for access to this - sounds like a great file.

Being given perms to access would be greatly appreciated - have requested. Cheers!

Yes because the same AD and air doctrines are used in all the CG. Joel just modified my work by adding in the Recon, GS and making the long range bombing missions inactive, he also added a D7, I only us D1. So you can just deactivate all GS and Recon missions and remove the D7 from the air doctrines and let it fly.

This doc was created prior to the "deadly A2A adjustment" and then I setup all the AD and air doctrines and then Joel made the mods above.

Got it thanks, would you change the loadouts for the JU 87's?? most are set with a single 500 lb bomb?

Thanks for the work put into this as a lot of moving parts.

I just downloaded a few days ago and ran it on the latest version of game.

Only differences as has been mentioned already is that (Romanian) Husi airbase is no longer there so I changed to use some nearby bases.
Also I could not move all the Hungarian fighters as instructed because some start with 100% travel.

As far as losses :
Axis 335 (280 LB)
Soviet 3529

most recent result 263 axis lost planes to the Soviets 3810, pilots lost 231 axis too 762 soviet. a couple of things to note some of the axis missions went unescorted though mission called for 10 escorts, there were plenty of German fighters and that never moved during the turn ? Can never seem to move all of the Hungarian fighters, but with only two missions they manage with very few losses. The Rumanians several missions go unescorted, there Hurricanes pretty much get wiped out so just moving there fighter squadrons forward with no Husi airbase needs some adjustments.

Previous questions about adjusting ju87 and me110 bomb loads, I might have answered myself as i see that the ju87 are carry 1 500 lb bomb and a drop tank for some extra range, maybe that's why?????

Still worth the setup and save for future games!!!

I have not updated the document in a long while. Since the many changes I have also redone how I setup the AD, much more simpler in scope. I'll try to update the doc in a few weeks if I get the time to revisit it with the new ADs as well.

Very good news. The changes introduced by the patches have changed everything. There are things in that guide that would be very dangerous today.

I suppose what I dislike about the T1 air war is that I can run it once and lose 80 pilots then immediately run it again and lose 180. The RNG has a massive impact.
Molotov : This we did not deserve.

Foch : This is not peace. This is a 20 year armistice.

I have been testing the AXIS T1 air attack now that beta 1.04.00 is available.

A lot of previous advice is no longer necessary since it has been included in the default setup such as adding drop tanks to fighters and tweaking the bomb loads.

Here is my quick and dirty method:

1. turn off Recon ADs;
2. turn on all inactive GA ADs except Kiev and Crimea. These last two always seem to rack up excessive losses vs the results;
3. For the GA ADs that have fighter escorts: tweak the required AC from 30/10 to 30/Auto. This will put up a lot more AXIS fighters to deal with Soviet AC.

Over 4 run throughs of the Air Phase, this will average 3275 Soviet AC destroyed (including 377 in air combat) vs 190 AXIS AC lost (including 139 in air combat)
