Leader / Losses / OB Turn 78

Apparently the High Command is not pleased even though the 8th Italian Army has achieved great success and sacked its Commander, I guess some people are just not happy no matter how good you do :D

While I'm not complaining about casualty numbers just above 100,000 mark this week, the big win came with the nearly 600 AFV's destroyed.

Losses 78.jpg
Losses 78.jpg (389.87 KiB) Viewed 1492 times
Also over 230 enemy planes destroyed, very pleasing since I am really not using my Air Force at all.

Despite the big AFV losses the enemy still has over 4000,will keep working on driving that number down.

On this front a series of flanking moves has netted some big fish, the enemy just seems to throwing its forces at my lines only to have units cut off.

Losses / OB / Events Turn 79

This week the Russians took another beating, nearly 200.000 men at arms, almost 1000 AFV's and over 3300 pieces of Artillery.

One of best weeks in some time for destroying AFV's.

The Red Army has now suffered over 11 million in manpower losses.

Things did not go all well for us despite Russia almost defeated, Axis Forces in North Africa have been forced to retreat from Cyrenaica, still we cannot lose and our forces are close to taking all of the Caucasus, which will force the Allies
to halt there pursuit as they will be facing Army Group B coming through Iran.

To be honest I would not even have that fort there at Batumi if it was not for that dam Soviet Amphib HQ I cant get rid of the bloody thing.

I have read a few post on how to get rid of it, apparently you have to bomb it.

I have Fliegerfuhrer Sud there doing naval Ops but that does not seem to do anything to it.

Must have to bomb it via a Air directive to attack ground units, but really don't see the point of changing air directives just to attack one HQ.

Thought it might just sink ( obviously wishful thinking ) so I just placed a fort just in case some Soviet Marines don't miraculously invade :D

it is getting 1 damage per turn just for staying in a water
you can not bomb it
you have to naval patrol over hexes with it

and it is just a matter of time when it will be gone forever

it picks up losses for (a) being adjacent and (b) off any naval interdiction you have present. As Stamb says, in the end it will attrit away and I don't think the Soviets can replace it
