Scenarios?

Post by Gunner98 »

With the release only about 2 weeks away, would you be able to post a list of the scenarios that will come with Ver1.0?

Thanks

Yeah don't see why not. Will get in touch with the marketing folks to see if they can make that happen. The count is up to 37 or 38 I think.

Thanks, got into Harpoon Ver 1.0 back in 89 (fatal crash about once every 15 min game play back then [X(]) and have been hooked on this genre ever since - the AARs are great BTW.

I agree. I hate to compare this game to harpoon, but I really enjoyed playing harpoon and I really look forward to trying this game. I am fascinated by some of what you have shown of the game. Playing a Carrier Battle Group Commanded is fun, but doing one and two ship divisions is more realistic and I look forward to it.

Thanks again.

I too am looking forward to the release and would be interested in seeing a list of scenarios.

I always thought the Cold War period US & Allies VS USSR & Allies was the old Harpoon editions at it`s best, so hopefully even though we are all "Friends" now there will scenario creation interest in that period.

Hi Richard

There is a mix of time periods from post WWII through 2020. This does include several WWIII USSR vs. Nato type scenarios.

The databases include 1000's of units covering most major systems so you can build what you'd like. We've also included import files that let you import many pre-constructed air bases and facilities of different eras in with a couple of clicks. We truly view Command as a sandbox for designers to really do some great things with scenarios.

I do assume that you have enough things with the release closing in, but I'd give my neighbor's right hand for an in-depth preview of this game.

Are there smaller scenarios as well?

Yes. A good example is Stand Up which is a small modern scenario set off the Falklands. Maybe a dozen air and sea units in total.

Yes[:)] Have no idea what his rank is but will ask. Another served in the Greek Army and the other has worked in defense for a number of years.
