CAP question..

Post by SSN754planker »

Im building a scenario, U.S. vs. Libya, currently testing things out and fleshing it out some. But here is my problem. I set up my CAP of 2 F-14's and then set up an AEW E-2 AEW support patrol. I even have F-15's flying down from Aviano to do CAP in the central med. As soon as i flip on the E-2's radar and it starts picking up air contacts, the fighters go "engaged offensive" and decide going full throttle instead of following orders is the better thing to do.

What do i need to set to tell the fighters to stay put and do their CAP patrols?

Hey,

in the mission editor, when your CAP is selected, you find down below a switch "Engage contacts outside patrol (?) area" or something close to that, sorry I am not at the PC right now. Switch it off and your CAP forces stay in the CAP area.

Cheers,
Coffee

That doesn´t work always, i think mymik mentioned somewhere that it helps when you uncheck "ignore plotted course when engaging", haven't tested it myself though.
