MC-12W?

Post by JK07 »

Just curious as to why the MC-12W wasn't included in the database. Not as sexy as some of the other ISR platforms but is being used as much as anything these days.

Forgot to add it in my post but I've also been wondering why the GBU-57MOP wasn't included in the database. It would be an interesting weapon to have in any scenario involving the US vs Iran's nuclear program.

These aren't included because we didn't have time to add more than ca 10 000 units to the database [;)] Both are on my to-do list. What would you say the priority for these are? We give stuff that are needed for a scenario higher priority.

Haha no problem bro. Didn't mean to sound like an ass if thats how it came across. The MC-12 is medium priority because it would be a nice addition and add some depth/realism to a GWOT scenario I'm making. The GBU57 is probably low priority due to there being quite a few other weapons already included in the database that can preform a similar job.

Hey Emsoy. Glad to see you're still working on your DB3K. You may not remember me, but you and I used to converse quite a bit back in H2's early days. Jay Gibbs? Meh... Anyway, I have noticed that there is no loadout of GBU-39/53(B) for any variant of the F-35 JSF. Additionally, the B-1B, and B-2 are also SDB carriers, and no SDB loadouts exist for those AC, either. OBTW, Sorry bout the thread highjack, but I didn't want to create another thread just for this one issue.

A source for the concept comes from the official USAF website: http://www.af.mil/AboutUs/FactSheets/Di ... ystem.aspx and, http://www.defenseindustrydaily.com/ray ... ion-06510/

I haven't done to much homework on this, mostly because wikipedia lacks info on the mc-12w, but can someone explain the purpose or rational of this asset, how is it better than the organic UAV's(shadows) or theater UAVs(pred, warrior, reaper). What is the argument for putting the souls up in the sky?

Isn't this platform kind of a jackknife covering a wider spectrum of stuff including cellular intercepts etc.

Hi Jay, of course I remember, it's great to see you here [:D][:D]

Have updated the database and added the SDB-II to the F-15E from 2018 onwards. It seems the SDB-I has only been integrated on the F-15E and Italian Tornadoes so far, and the next plane will be the F-35 SDB-II in 2020. The SDB-II may also be added to the F/A-18's weapon inventory after 2020.

If you have more info on SDB integration work please let me know, but SDB-I production has been completed and I doubt the USAF will spend more money there.

Guys?
