This looks awesome, I have successfully updated my Steam Version and I'm ready to go. You guys have been busy!
Thank-you

Minor issue. The links in the database to the sensors (at least to sensors associated with the ship, submarine and SAM sites entries in the database) appear to be gone. It's not that they are broken-they just aren't there anymore. I've put in a Beta Test report.

This is the biggest update not only for CMO... but maybe for any game I've ever seen.
And when I say game, it's really not a game but great software. Thank you for continuing to support the product and I wish you huge continued success with your commercial and professional-use editions.
Best,
Lara

Amazing! I don't even know what to start testing the first.

Biggest update since release ; impressive.
Re: CMO Public Beta - Build 1243.3 (aka "Tiny")
Is there any way to disable the RMB plot course action for the selected unit? I find myself accidentally plotting new courses for units when I'm just trying to make small map scroll adjustments. Thanks.

Wow! That's an update !!
My personal best:
- MAJOR NEW FEATURE: Energy-based flight model for boost-coast missiles (!!)
- Significant changes in default aircraft defensive maneuvers. (!)
- Investigate (ie. maneuver to intercept & identify but do not engage) (at last !!
)
- Aircraft will now pitch up/down as necessary if weapon release is blocked by boresight limits

Regarding the new feature, bathymetry layer.
Is it possible to separate it from the relief layer?
I mean activate selectively one, the other, none or both.

Re: CMO Public Beta - Build 1243.3 (aka "Tiny")
No, sorry! It's a single layer.

Question, how does:
ADDDED: #14523 : Possibility to toggle more involved attacks (stick until winchester) in strike
missions (toggle in strike mission UI):
relate to the actual doctrine setting that governs shotgun/Winchester behavior? Which has precedence in the case of a mismatch?

Second question-
It seems to take Steam more than an hour to make the transition between the beta (1243) and 1147.45. Also, it seems that the 1243 upgrade deletes some files from 1147.45. Is there some set of files to hold on to that would facilitate a faster transition, without having to keep redownloading and reverifying every time?

Incredibly grateful to benefit from the fruition of hard work that used to only be available in PE. Thank you very much! Awesome work.

Re: CMO Public Beta - Build 1243.3 (aka "Tiny")
I saved my DB images and scenarios to a separate folder then uninstalled CMO and deleted the root directory and then just reinstalled it after I got access to the closedbeta. The installation was a one-shot download and verification. I did this after running into the same issue you were having.boogabooga wrote: ↑Mon May 23, 2022 3:17 am Second question-

Fantastic update. A suggestion if I may.
MISSION EDITOR.
Can you move the UNASSIGNED/ASSIGNED Units window to the right side of the window but stacked vertically. Right now it feels way too compact (especially if you are trying to add individual aircraft to a mission this list can become too big), especially since you cannot resize the window at this time.

Re: CMO Public Beta - Build 1243.3 (aka "Tiny")
MAJOR NEW FEATURE: Energy-based flight model for boost-coast missiles.
Boost-coast missiles (ie. most tactical missiles that are not powered continously) now use a much more realistic flight model that distinctly models the initial boost-sustain and post-burnout regimes, and takes into account the effects of gravity (shedding speed while climbing and regaining it when diving) and aerodynamic drag. The drag changes with altitude, built-in drag coefficient and whether the weapon is maneuvering (pitching/turning) or not.
This change makes it possible to apply real-life "exhaust the threat" tactics and further constrains edge-of-envelope shots.
On missiles that use this model, the "fuel bar" indicator now represents only the remaining boost-sustain fuel, NOT to the total remaining energy. After burnout, the fuel bar is removed and the weapon will coast until it reaches its stall speed.
Significant changes in default aircraft defensive maneuvers. Instead of beaming and diving to the deck by default, now they will first try to outrun an incoming missile while matching its relative pitch (i.e. climb if the missile is below them, or dive if it's above them), and if the missile closes the distance they will then attempt to beam it (or its parent guidance) while also reversing their climb/dive.
Wow, cool! Thank you
That's like Christmas coming early in June
