Considering people have been asking here for many months if it will ever go on sale and it doesn't, and now it does....... do the math. :-)

If you have CMANO and played it a lot, then I would say yes.

If it is a new game to you and the content interests you quite a lot, then I would say yes.

I have CMANO, but just never had the time to give it the attention it really needs to enjoy it.

I'm new to CMO, but am thinking about buying it on sale. I understand that it evolved out of CMNAO, but will the DLC from that game work with CMO? Are they included in CMO? Thank you for your help.

I have four or five games I bought on sale and never play because CMO takes all of my attention. Probably not buying any other games for a while. Just saying.

That sounds like a familiar story... other games might take up a week or two of my interest, more likely an hour or two. Just fired up a Civil War game for the 3rd time in a couple years, still no go... Back to CMO

I don't use Steam because I don't want my hours counted... it would be embarrassing... CMANO+ CMO + all DLCs and we're still at fractions of a fraction a penny per hour of play.

Just to note, if you're still on the fence about getting CMO you can still buy Northern Inferno, Chains Of War, Shifting Sands, Silent Service, or Desert Storm for $13.99 and play them as a standalone to see if it's something you want to get more into and if you decide CMO is something you want then you would already have one or more DLC's already at that point.

...my social life is now over...

Social life? Social Life? What is this social life of which you speak? I'm married with children, haven't had a social life that doesn't involve a child or dog in over 20 years! CMO, was just the finial nail in the coffin! [:D] [:)] [8D]

We are empty nesters, my wife is retired fully and I'm partially retired, working about half time as a consultant. We've never been socialites, and prefer to be with each other. We both have our hobbies. Bladeslinger mentioned Arma3. It's on a bargain basement sale on Steam, so I got the Mac port version. Can't do multiplayer, but the campaigns and scenarios work fine. Tried using it with Parallels Desktop W10 on my Mac and that's a no-go no matter how I set the settings. But damn, it's fun just single-player. So far, I die a lot. -) But I'm getting better.

But most of my time is CMO and Combat Mission. I tip my hat to all the scenario designers. I've never tried anything more involved than a quick and dirty similar to the quick battles, or editing of those. The large scenarios amaze me with their detail and complexity.
