Does the map get updated?

So i was looking to make a mission depicting a particular event on a small island during Desert Shield, but the Island doesn't exist on the map and where it should be is in depth and not elevation.

The Island in question is called "Qaruh island" and should be at N28°48'03" - E48°46'35" or if you look on the Bing satellite map it's at 28.817256, 48.776278.

Is the map ever updated or is it pretty much set in stone?

There is a thread where you can suggest changes to the map, and it does get updated, I don't know where it is though.

Actually, I did some searching and realized there is no thread.

The user "mikmykWS" has a terrain work list he updates. You would need to PM/contact him so he can add that particular island.
