[WAD] Bug report: Right-click center not working

No save file because it literally is from the beginning of opening anything. Subject line says it all - right-click to center the map does not work.

CMO Build 1115.6.

One more bug to report, but will do that via another post, per protocol.

Its not a bug. Its the design of the new map interface. Center on zoom works almost as effectively.

Its listed in the hotkeys, but doesn't work. Either its a bug or the hotkey list is wrong. Either way, that's a problem.

I think the manual listing is a legacy from CMNAO. But I could be wrong.

Right-click drag works, though. I think it's a change, just still in the manual.

I have seen several other comments to this effect as well. It moves MUCH faster. Removal of right click center makes this much less useful and seems unnecessary. Thanks.

I'm converted to the new drag method; it's more like Google Earth. Maybe it should become optional for those who like the old way?

Well, then its very simple - do the developers want to aggravate the customer or not over a simple functionality which obviously is easy to put back in, because it existed before. If they choose to aggravate the customer, who supports them with money for sales, then I (and others like me, who clearly are a reasonable number, judging by the posts) will vote with my feet and spend my money elsewhere. Easy.

I disagree. I much prefer right-click drag.

I do too. Much better, smoother and faster than having to scroll with the arrows all the time. I never used the right click center very much. Maybe it's because I play on a laptop with the trackpad and not a mouse (only occasionally).

Before hostilities break out and future scenarios depict the epic battle between draggers and centrists, there might be a compromise:

Right-click - centre as before.
Left-click-drag - moves the globe like the current drag.

However there might be a problem interfering with a current action, like course setting or using the distance tool.

Yeah, with the right-click centering, if I wanted something on the edge of the screen, I either arrowed, or clicked off-center to get it where I wanted it.
With right-click drag, I put it where I want it. Done. YMMV.

If someone's going to not buy the game over that kind of simple change...well, you simply can't make everyone happy, so you probably shouldn't try. Isn't going to happen. Besides, what about those of us who have already said we LIKE the new change...

I think using a right click without some real thought will cause some serious issues with some of the new UI, especially the mouse drag of the map.
