Sub has infinite wires

Started the submarine tutorials today and realized I was able to launch 8 or more torpedoes at once and be able to change the course for each and every one at the same time, despite the DB for the S 601 Rubis sub saying "Torpedo Wire Control [2 Wires]".

Doesn't that mean I should only be able to control 2 torpedoes at a time with my wires? Or have I misunderstood something.
