[Resolved] LUA Script error on Broken Shield 300

Spotted this Lua script error, no idea if it affects anything.

06:10:04 - New contact! Designated MOBILE #202 - Detected by 210sq #3 (Heron TP UAV [Eitan]) [Sensors: Eitan AESA] at 42deg - 133.6nm


06:10:00 - Lua script execution error: [string "SAR"]:165: unexpected symbol near 'if'


06:09:54 - Contact: Pantsir-S1E #8 is now known as: Pantsir-S1E #8

Seem to repeat every 5 mins or so

Later on you will get an event to extract a team from Gaza. If it works just fine then it's OK. If not it will need a fix.

ahh I figured it was a "search and rescue" special script.

Just got the following errors:

Commander, we just got one of our sattelites over the target area. The analysts from the intelligence department came up with a list of possible locations where the Syrians can deploy their SAMs, based on construction works that we have detected during the last few months. As we can not check the whole (very long) list in a single sattelite pass, we will have to check different parts on each satellite pass staring with the most likely positions. If we spot something on one of those - we will send you the confirmed locations ASAP.

This is a LUA related problem with CMO, under the hood so to say and it happens a lot in many scenarios, randomly...
Devs are working hard on rewriting/fixing those specific problems.

For BS-300 I made a lot of failsafes for some core events to make sure they fire even when this random bug with the corrupted memory occurs. If you got the pop up message and some SAMs were revealed by the satellite then the script was executed which is what counts for the gameplay - the rest are just errors in the log from the failed attempts before it finally fired properly.

Firstly. Loving the mission so far, so please treat this as a positive experience.

I'd actually already spotted and pinpointed all three S300 sites using the awesome Eitan AESA drone... that thing is UBER !

Hope you will enjoy the whole scenario, especially when you get to the shooting part :)
That UAV is really good at finding ground targets with this AESA pod, but it's not all seeing. While there are 3 S-300 batteries you will actually get more contacts. The Syrians are not making your day easy, so they deployed some of those inflatable S-300s as well, which look like the real thing on radar, thermal and EO :D

So how do we pickup the SF team ?

11:55:35 - Unit 669 #912 is aborting pickup from Ambushed SF Team (Reason: The transfer source does not have any cargo item to retrieve)

I've tried Unit orders / Select Unit(s) to pickup - and it just gives me that message ?

I found a problem that kind of breaks the SAR script in some situations. There will be updated version of the scenario tomorrow that is fixing that along with the empty magazines as that was a critical issue - there are supposed to be weapons in the magazines for all those planes in reserve.

Can we make them fire baloon missiles that do like 0.1 DP of damage as they bump into your aircraft?

Hey, thanks so much for the hands on support and fast turn-around of fixes. It's fun actually working to find them and sort them as a community in my opinion.

I had spotted all the mags were empty, but just presumed that was part of the scenario... holding off on weapons release until the GO.

I saw aircraft coming online and armed over time (well I think I did) and I guessed you had some clever script releasing them as drip feed.

I'll crack on with Beirut's scenario and then come back to yours when you're happy with the new release :-) Thanks again
