I also assume I should have a separate scenario folder for IKE scenarios?
No need to install anything — everything is built into the scenario code. You can just start up any of the scenarios in the IKE Scenario Pack as you would any solo scenario and it will tell you what to do.

I do find it useful to have a separate scenario folder for PBEM scenarios but that’s up to you. I also keep a “PBEM In” and “PBEM Out” folder to keep track of ongoing games but again, that all depends on how you like to organize things.
Oh that's nice! Thanks for the prompt reply.

Separate folders for in/out saves is actually a very good idea.

Hello!

I want to play scenario "Shamal" in coop mode vs AI. I will play as USAF and my buddy as Navy. Is there any chance to configure scenerio to let Us see Ours markpoints and could I use his tanker, and He could use my airports?

A 100 years ago in Baloogan multiplayer app We played this scenario like that.

Yes, you can use each other’s tankers in that scenario, assuming they use compatible refueling connectors for the aircraft in question (boom vs. drogue) — you’ll want to double-check that via the DB while planning your orders. USN can use USAF airfields as well, although it may not do your buddy any good aside from critical fuel situations, unless the airfield already carries the correct ordinance for his loadouts. You can send each other chat messages via the Special Actions menu to communicate about issues like that, although you can’t yet share markpoints. (That’s an interesting idea for future development, though—thanks.) Everything else should work as you’d want it to in coop.

Spring Break is here -- but for those of you wargamers-gone-wild who can't make it to Ibiza, I'm happy to announce that IKE v1.54 is out and starting a residency in your inbox.

This release fixes the bug that caused contacts on allied sides to disappear--mostly a problem in the Shamal, 1991 scenario--and eliminates Reference Point spam from allied out-of-comms units being detected (thanks to @Randolph Sykes for reporting these issues). @ClaudeJ has also been nice enough to fix a number of outstanding typos in the French and Spanish localization.

We've also added a new scenario:

The End of Françafrique, 2021 (author: @nukkkxx5058)
If you're the kind of person who thinks a round of Gary Grigsby's "War in the Pacific" was over too soon, you'll love this massive mega-scenario in which France and China go toe-to-toe again over Cameroon. The author sez: "This one requires a strong CPU. Minimum I think is AMD Ryzen 7 - 3700x or equivalent. More is better."

Other news:

Congratulations to @nukkxx5058, the winner of the first COMPLEX PBEM tournament, who beat strong contender @CanofWhoop in a nail-biter finale!

Calling all avant-garde Command-ers on the bleeding edge— IKE v1.55 beta 1 is out, allowing you to play PBEM multiplayer matches with the latest amazing CMO open beta releases (build 1276.1 or later).

Before you try, please note: this release is only compatible with the open beta, and is NOT backward compatible with the stable release. If you're still using stable CMO, stick to IKE v1.54!

In addition to adding support for the latest version of CMO (and squashing a few small bugs), I've also packed in some new features, such as...

REFERENCE POINT SHARING
You can now send selected reference points to allied players during co-op matches in order to mark targets, suggest a route for an attack run, etc. (Thanks to @syringe for the suggestion.)

REFERENCE POINT MANAGEMENT
By default, IKE now automatically clears away old reference points created to mark events from your opponent's previous turn, which can often pile up and become difficult to manage after several turns. (Thanks to @ClaudeJ for the suggestion.)

AUTOSAVE
By default, IKE now automatically autosaves the scenario at the end of your turn and places it in "<Command Path>/Scenarios/PBEM OUT" with a useful label. When enabled, you no longer have to manually save your turn when it's over—you can just send the autosaved file directly to your opponent.

FINE, HAVE IT YOUR WAY
The two previous features listed can be disabled from the new "Preferences" menu in SPECIAL ACTIONS.

PRO USERS WELCOME!
In theory, IKE should now work with the Pro version of Command. This is hard for me to test, so if any Pro users have issues, feel free to contact me.

One last caveat before you let your Harpoons fly—since CMO's open beta is still a work in progress, please take a quick peek at the Tech Support forum before you report any bugs you might find, just to ensure that your issue hasn't already been reported.

Enjoy!

Put away that time-on-target slide rule, Poindexter! IKE v1.55 beta 2 is now out and fully compatible with the recent "War Planner" update for PBEM multiplayer matches.

FOR PLAYERS:
Download IKE Scenario Pack v1.55b2 (19 scenarios)

FOR SCENARIO AUTHORS
Download IKE v1.55b2

This is mostly a maintenance release to fix compatibility with the public "War Planner" build, but I've also changed the way that IKE handles updates to the client during an ongoing PBEM game. Ideally, this will result in zero disruption to your game when a new CMO release is pushed through Steam in the future.

Odds and ends: I've updated the entire scenario pack to DB 498a and you'll also notice a new message at the end of your turns making it clear where the autosave feature is placing the save files.

If you're totally new to PBEM multiplayer with CMO and IKE: welcome! All you have to do is download the IKE Scenario Pack above, unzip it to your Scenarios folder, and load up any of the included scenarios to start a game. All of the code is entirely self-contained within the scenario.
