No hits, BUT at least 12 SAMs soaked off for future Air Strikes! Reloading the TLAMs and then once launched Mississippi goes Carrier hunting! At bare minimum 24 SAMs will be soaked off.
24 TLAMs but one found home and destroyed the Fiery Reef EW Radar. Next air strike will take out the PLA Airborne EW Aircraft I'm tracking that should largely blind them and more JASSMs should reach home. All the ER JASSMs are used up so now will have to get in closer.

I was Navy, but Assigned TAD to the 24th MAU Hq in Beirut. By far the finest period of my service!
This latest version has the DF-26 ASBMs restored and adds the RIM-161 SM-3 Series SAMs to the TFs. They are set to engage at maximum range with the RIM-174 SM-6 Duel-1s set to engage at ranges of less than 100nm for point defense. This should allow the TF to engage the ASBMs along the reentry and terminal phases of their flight path.
So unless someone sees something I missed, I think these tweaks have breathed new life into the scenario and I'm going to submit the new version. I'll give it a few days.

I haven't yet tried the new version yet but the default one (on Steam) is a real toughie! The main problem I have is that my CSG can't avoid detection (despite staying quiet) before I've had time to arm up most of my aircraft. To avoid detection I tried different approaches such as nothing shipboard flying - not even ASW helos, or using a radar-off CAP to knock out the AEWs & drones that get close. I thought using my land-based AEWs on stations over Borneo & Palawan might act as distractions/decoys, even my Hawkeye orbiting away off to the west, but no dice - they know where I am!
As a result I can only attrit some of the Badgers before they unleash their swarms of ASMs. Timing is such that I have more fighters coming ready while the ASMs are in flight, but they end up using up all their AMRAAMS on these vampires - a bad move as they're in short supply and leave precious little for any subsequent offensive. I'd decided on my next attempt to set WRA so that AMRAAMS ignore them, instead using Sidewinders/cannons and relying on shipboard SAMs for those that get through. I'll try that in the latest version.
I am in the middle of the game, 1 day 15 hours to go. Guess I will need another one month (IRL) to finish this scenario.
But I have already achieved Triumph [8D][8D][;)]
I disabled Mischief reef AFB first, then sink type 055. At the same time I took out the radar sites on Hughes Reef and Johnson south reef by luck. That gave my stealth A/C space to strike or ambush PRC's KJ-2000 and H-6U
Just finished a coordinate strike on Fiery Cross reef. It should have been disabled after 24x AGM-158 hit on runway and runway grade taxiway.
Next target is going to be woody island.
Sir? Do you want to order a Kung Pao Chicken or a Kung Fu Chicken?
About 21 hours into this scenario and the Chinese forces are starting to crumple under withering attacks, but I've detected some LUA errors.
03:00Z Function:ScenEdit_AssignUnitToMission (0) Error:UnitX was not found in the scenario unit list!
This error appears repeatedly in the LuaHistory log
Function:ScenEdit_SetEMCON (0) Error:Unable to identify subject of EMCON change! Please verify the subject-type and subject-name/ID strings.

Edit: yeah found it, it is the DF-26 unit not assigning to the strike mission.
It is code 'ScenEdit_AssignUnitToMission("DF-26 SSM Battalion", "DF-26 Guam Killer Strike")
which should be, 'ScenEdit_AssignUnitToMission("DF-26 SSM Brigade", "DF-26 Guam Killer Strike")
Thanks.

I believe this is destroyed radars that the LUA script is trying to turn on and off. I don't think it is an issue with game play.

12-17-2020: Some Tweaks to the scenario requested by one of the players. Hey if someone is willing to play a scenario I designed, I'm willing to help out! Adjusted the radars and some missions...
Just started this last night and am working my way through it, although at the glacial speed at which I play Command scenarios I don't know how much timely feedback I'll be able to provide. I'm only a few hours in, but it looks like it will be pretty fun so far; I'm loving the AESA radars on the Global Hawk right now; that combined with a helpful ELINT satellite and some educated inferences have given me the location of the PLAN CVBG (seeing two air contacts in the middle of the ocean level off at 36000ft after climbing is usually a pretty good indication that there is a carrier nearby).
One thing I did notice that struck me as odd: the Chinese Coast Guard ship near the Philippines is stationary; is this intentional?
Is there a reason the ASBM Task Force has SM-6 instead of SM-3? While yes the SM-6 is ABM capable, the SM-3 is the primary weapon for this and I'd expect a dedicated ABM ship to be carrying some.
You are correct. Problem is I never know how many of these "Special munitions" are actually available and thus I'm reluctant to put too many of them on platforms. That said, yes there should have been some. Added 10 Block 1A and 10 Block IB SM-3s I lowered the RIM-174 SM-6s by about 1/2.
