Re: Iran Strike, 2025 (Updated 7-28-2023)
As I explained in the description, while the scenario is set in 2025 it's designed to be a showcase of capabilities that should be deployed in the late 2020s to the early 2030s. If you want to play with more conventional forces, I suggest playing the 2022 variant.Nikel wrote: ↑Thu Nov 09, 2023 5:28 pm Perhaps the Michigan should no have that kind of wonder weapon.

Larry Bond was a co-designer of a boardgame on this topic (also including oil installations as targets), Persian Incursion released by Clash of Arms games.
Now may be outdated (2010), for example no F-35 in the Israeli side and the drones are more current.
Some free stuff in the links below, including briefing info.

The missing vassal module in the CoA page is available here:

Re: Iran Strike, 2025 (Updated Jan 23, 2024)
Thanks for all that. Persian Incursion, sounds a lot better then Iran Strike.
A scenario about a general strike against Iran, including oil facilities, is on my list. Unfortunately right now I'm prevented from doing it due to the current tensions in the ME. I'm not torn up about it. I have a few other scenarios I want to finish before I start yet another scenario, including reworking both Iran Strike scenarios to use the Advanced HTML dialog box. That will replace most of the special actions and drastically simplify the setup from the players perspective.

Thanks, waiting for more of your scenarios.
Just posted this in case you could grab some ideas.

Great scenario.
I ended with 0 points despite destroying many buildings + bunkers. Is this intentional? Looking in the code I don't see positive points awarded anywhere, only negative ones for losing aircraft.

I have no idea what dumb thing I did here. Whatever I did, I did it in the 2022 scenario too. I'll try and get a hotfix for scoring out this week.caelunshun wrote: ↑Sun Sep 15, 2024 5:33 am Great scenario.

Not really. There's three generally accepted routes the Israelis might/could take. Go north along the Syrian/Turkish border, fly directly over Jordan, or go south and then cut across Saudi Arabia. They don't have the tanker capacity to go down around the entire Arabian peninsula with the size of strike forces they would need. The only way that would work is if the US was willing to provide a hell of a lot of tanker support.Mentholmoose77 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 04, 2024 5:28 am Might be useful source for OP

Iran strike 2025 scenario side selection question
I am editing the airbase in the Iran Strike 2025 scenario to make it possible to attack and play. However, after editing the scenario and saving it, the selectable sides are limited to just Israel and the US, and the Israel-US coalition is no longer available. I noticed that when selecting the sides at the start of the scenario, the Israel-US side disappears. I have been trying to find a way to keep this setting, but I haven't been able to. How can I do this?

There is a script that fires at the start of the scenario that deletes the unplayed sides (I.e. if you play as the US Israel and the US-Israel side gets deleted) and some other things. I have a script file that sets a developer mode to asks during scenario load if I want to execute the startup scripts to not have that happen.
What do you mean to make is possible to attack and play? Other then scoring (which I plan to fix with an upcoming rework) there's no known issue.
Re: Iran strike 2025 scenario side selection question
The single unit base cannot be attacked. I was editing it to replace it with an airbase that includes elements like a Runway access point or hangar, so that attacking the airbase can be used as a tactic. How do I run the script file that sets the developer mode? I just reviewed the script and I'm amazed by the sheer volume of it. Thank you for creating such an impressive scenario! I think it will be a lot of fun to play!Kushan04 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 19, 2024 3:53 pmMerged your thread from Tech Support to here.erick33 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 19, 2024 1:38 pm I am editing the airbase in the Iran Strike 2025 scenario to make it possible to attack and play.
