Transfer from CWDB to DB3K?
Any chance the former Rhodesian aircraft still used by Zimbabwe in the 1990's to 2000's could be transferred over?
Arms embargoes didn't start crippling the fleet until quite late into the 2000's.
Specifically the
FTB.337G Lynx, SF.260 and Alouette and AB.205 G cars were all used in the Congo interventions in 96/97 and 98 to 2003.
Appreciate land locked African countries may not be a top priority!

Books Great Lakes Conflagration - Second Congo War 1998-2003. Tom Cooper - Helion Publishing - Africa at War Series ISBN 978-1-909384-66-8 PP.38
"Initially AFZ Hawks flew armed reconnaissance sorties, some of them armed with Chinese PL-7 air to air missiles"
Imagery wise there is nothing I can find so far to show PL-7 in use with the Hawks but Zimbabwe did take delivery of J-7/F-7 in the same time frame and they came with the PL-7, but they were busting sanctions, so not surprising it wasn't in the press release!
http://aviadejavu.ru/Images6/HI/HI-11/45-1.jpg - Hawk Mk60 was capable of using AIM-9 when delivered by BAe. Matra Magic used a similar interface to the AIM-9 and THE PL-7 is a blatant copy of Magic, so the ZAF had the means motive and method.

The error is not with the entry about the booster as it cannot be sublaunched as its the terminal phase when the missile is already airborne.
The error is that the entire missile 3M54 (sublaunched) needs to be added to the Yasens mounts not just the terminal high speed booster phase. Think this has been raised as an error in the DB492 build as it used to be ok?

hink this has been raised as

Yes, right now the Yansen is default loaded with the terminal boosted warhead. The actual missile that carries the warhead (below) is sub-launchable and defaulted to other Russian boats like the Oscar III.

So this thread goes all the way back to 2013, is it possible for Forum owner, to edit posts, saying that it has been solved or added? Would be encouraging to know that user adds are looked at and acted upon.

<Evidence>On the Path Of Songun, Mitzer and Oliemans, page 99-100:
Reports of up to 47 Mi-24Ds reaching the DPRK stemmed from a misreporting to the US Congressional Research Service decades ago and are therefore certainly incorrect, which is not surprising given the fact that North Korean military doctrine seemed to favour lighter helicopter gunships instead. In the same vein reports about a handful of Mi-14PL ASW helicopters delivered during the same period also appear to be false.

<detail>Leased aircraft from Sweden, Czech and Hungarian aircraft upgraded to latest version in the Swedish entry, however they do not have the Meteor, instead they have the AMRAAM AIM120C-7 version, they tried to buy the cheaper C-5 version but it was discontinued before order, as well as Sidewinder AIM-9X. Also read that they have the Paveway MkII but cant find the link. Below link also states the Maverick. Hungary also just bought 2021 the IRIS-T. The Brazil entry says that the JAS-39E has been cancelled and that just isnt true. What is true is that there has been a discussion with India and Brazil and possibly Thailand to make a carrier version but that is still only on the drawing board, so not cancelled since it hasnt gotten very far yet. But the Gripen E/F is very much being used by Brazil</detail>

According to the book Desert Storm Volume 1: the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait and operation Desert Shield 1990-1991, Iraq converted a Boeing 727 to a ELINT platform.
I can't find any more information on it in the book, except that it was briefly locked on by a Kuwaiti Mirage during the Iraqi invasion.

More effective proved the conversion of a Boeing 727 airliner into a platform for COMINT- and SIGINT gathering, and data-links enabling it to fuse the collected information directly into the Kari's ADCOC in real time. Nick-named Faw-727, this aircraft became operational in early 1988.
