I'm obviously missing something here so can you clarify things by providing a walkthrough? I'm confused on how I get the import into Command or if I create the import in Command.

That's what the video in the link above is. Did you watch it?

I watched the video in the link when I first started playing Command. I was trying to ask about you posting a quick walkthrough on how to use the import tool to help those players who cannot use it properly.

Ah ok sorry just figured out you were talking about blh's great tool not any software of ours.

You guys need to pm him as its his software not ours. Looks like there is an issue with the file generated.

Thanks!

I have the same problem. Exporting a grouped unit from the web tool don't work.
In Command you can select the file and in the description window you can see listed all the units of the group, but when you click in load....Nothing happens.

Yup, the Lat/Lon coordinates are missing from the inst file.

I have e-mailed blh42 (who made this tool), hopefully they're able to fix it.

No unfortunately not at the moment I have tried to contact bhl by email and pm several times but no reply am afraid.

I can confirm that the issue is the lack of lat longs in the string, it's like the tool doesn't lift them from Google maps or Google maps doesn't provide them in a way the tool understands. Maybe it's a new version of maps that's buggering it up as initial comments seem to suggest it worked fine.

Is there anyone out there who understands how the tool works I wonder?

I think I have this working, the google Maps API changed since that was posted I think. I found that guys code on GH and forked it and I think it is working but I have not tested it in the game.

tested, should work.

Can't seem to find the button for the "satellite" view instead of the generic Google road map.

I did load a randomly placed file in game and it does work.

You know I wondered about that and figured the other one must have been like that too (I've not worked with the maps api before). I just looked and it had the buttons to switch so I looked at my code again and I think the satellite view was there it was just off the map/ covered up.

I told it to show it on the left side instead and now it is there.

I've made a bunch today and had a separate tab open with the satellite view so I could find my way around. This will be a lot better, thanks for the feedback.

It does seem to work well, but out of about 20-30 installations I have had 2 empty (mostly) files download. I think both times I had done something wonky with a marker.
