June 3rd, 1945.

The victory city of Harbin was once in my grasp! :( Alas, STJEAND cut my supply lines and have forced the Russians all the way back to their supply depots.

Sure looks like an Allied win. Is it time for the ticker tape parade yet ?

Overall this was a fun and very enlightening game.

Deeptyphoon has gotten considerably better than our first game.
Once the naval superiority swung I could merely watch.

I think when the game ended Japan still have 6 or 7 CVs and 8 or 9 CVLs...so a lot but the Allies had many more. And Japan had 1 or 2 surface ships left.

Once Deeptyphoon started using night moves invasions were impossible to stop.

Thoughts...

1) India...Deep held this time just past Calcutta. I know you can hold at Calcutta just have to get that figured out. For me I keep a small corps 3 hexes ahead of the best Japanese move...so they can only get 3 hexes each time. BUT that is not always easy to get set up.
2) China...Best Deep had done and it is about all I expect to be able to do. Communists held and the Chinese held all but Chungking which honestly I always am able to take.
3) I think more focus on the VP locations might be required.
4) Russia. I can't seem to keep them out of the war early and they are a HUGE issue...though mistakes on Deeps part cost him there. I suspect in another game that would not happen BUT I am NO longer going to mess up and let them back in the war early. They just have too much power and Japan can't really do much but slow them a bit.

Thanks for the game and hope you learned a lot.

Congratulations DEEPTYPHOON, it was a great read.

You don't trust me, do you? I don't blame you. If there is to be a brave new world, our generation is going to have the hardest time living in it.

And FYI I stayed out of this read just in case...I did not see too much information that would have changed my actions, but one never knows. I always liked to show my next move coming which...well if your opponent reads it well...you know.

But I did really enjoy it.

I wish I could put the time in...which I may next game I play but man it takes a chunk. I am playing a lot less games, which helps with that time.
