siege

Post by ravenflight »

How do you siege a city? I had a corps outside the gates of Tunis for 6 turns with no loss of life on eitger side! I would have expected an assault, sortie or loss of life within 6 turns. Was I supposed to select sonethibg to activate a siege?

Hi, welcome. As you found out the hard way, siege is not automatic. During the Land Move phase, you need to actually move units from the field into the city. Not actually "into" of course, but this designates them for besieging the city. Also, after a field battle, you can sometimes assault the city.

FYI, besides the updated manual in \data\docs, there is also a tutorial guide in the Members area available for download. Hope this helps. Enjoy!
