Where are scenerios?

Post by Regs »

I loaded the latest version of Empires in Arms. It has only two scenerios (both 1805). Where do I find the other scenerios?

Thanks.

There were problems with the 1812 scenario, particularly with French minor setups and victory points. For v1.23, the bugs are fixed and the 1812 scenarios have been rebuilt for both EIA classic and EIH alternate campaigns.

I expect once we can release a beta for v1.23 and folks have a chance to play the 1812 scenario, there may be some feedback that may warrant some corrections. We'll see.

is there a chance that eventually there might be some more scenarios such as 1809 and 1813 - i would love to see these, is scenario creation something one can do themselves without being a programmer? i mean is there a scenario builder program out there?

The game has an editor. I noted two bugs with regard to the 1812 scenario. One, the VPs set in the editor did not display correctly when playing the scenario; this has been resolved. Two, changing the date of the base 1805 scenario to 1812 (or anything) also changed the arrival dates for units and leaders. I have not resolved this second bug. For 1812, I've used a hex editor to manually make updates as needed; others can do this also as a workaround.

So, short answer is yes, it's possible to create the 1809 and 1813 scenarios but some extra effort may be needed. After I get the v1.23 beta out, I may have some time to look at the editor issues and do what I can. My priority for v1.23 official release, however, will be to fix any bugs players find with the beta and make some improvements for AI allied operations.
