The news in China this turn is not great for the Chinese. I have taken Chungking and I am beginning to move south towards Kunming: The last Chinese city in the south.

In the most southern part of China I am beginning to reduce the pocket west of Canton. Still not decided anything about Hong Kong.

Note: I think the Soviet player and the French player here missed the boat (pun intended). That French Navy, which I made sure to scout if was there, every single turn, could have been "gifted" to the Soviets by their French Allies, and could have done a lot of damage, if it got loose.

Not much to say about this screenshot. I am mopping up the enemy forces. I don't really intend to go for Western China. It isn't exactly an impressive economic part of China, nor is it very strategic, unless I want an offensive going to distract the Soviets - and I didn't think I wanted to at this point.

The total kills and losses, during my turn.

Image

Note that these enemy losses may seem high, and my losses low. There are two reasons to this. Firstly the Chinese are severly beaten, and are now really feeling the loss of supply, and thus cannot really do anything to fight off my Japanese. Also it is worth noting that it is during my turn, meaning that it doesn't take into account what my opponent did to me last time he played. Naturally such losses will look bigger cause it doesn't include my defense against his attacks.

Turn 22:

At this point of the game, began taking screenshots of how things looked before my attacks, but after I had sent out recon planes. This is how the Manchurian front looked like.

Image

Note how he tries to hide his cavalry for possible flanking movements in the mountains, but I don't fall for it.

The "Korea/Vladivostok" front, in more detail than the last image shows.

And these are my moves, and attacks, and the results thereof.

Image

In the west, I have advanced through the Swamp, and beaten back his armor, along the road heading to the Harbin Mines. Just south of Harbin, I've begun to move forward as well, choosing to target troops with Artillery, and attacking the HQ and planes in Harbin by air. The planes there are the DB-3Ts that the Soviets have placed in this area at the beginning of the game. Those that have been keeping my navy from really doing much, along with their patrol boats.

In the Vladivostok area I have been attacking along the road. It may seem like I could have attacked towards Vladivostok, but I would only have one hex side to attack along. Instead opting to move forwards I could attack from two. Gaining a 10% attack bonus, as well as a 10 extra stack points available.

Speaking of stacking.

This is what happens, when you put too many units in a hex, they have medium to low readiness, and are attack by inferior fresh forces, that do respect the stacking limits.

My losses; 2 rifle units. His losses, too big to count.
