wondering where you have found these images and where might one go in order to locate them. I have found some WW2 images but mainly German/soviet and american, not much of any other nation though.

I just Google Images and avoid anything with a copyright on it.

that is what I have done, but just seeing some of the images you have I ask myself what I'm doing wrong. Some of the images I have found are rather good, but the ones you posted are better. I guess I'm not asking the right search question. It could also be that I'm just way too picky... The search continues.... :)

It's utterly bizarre to see some of those places I put on the map actually being in the news right now in a potential war context.

My thoughts exactly...hmm those places sound familiar...Charkov Kiev Sebastopol Simferapol etc.
One other thing that's really weird is that Klitschko one of the best boxers in the world, and I've seen many boxingmatches from him...is smack right in the middle of it.
So now it's gonna be the Reds against the Whites again 1920's re-happening? France UK EU and whatnot beleaguering the Krim again? Probably not. I hope.

Resurrection

Post by Captain Cruft »

I am looking at resurrecting this, but not in exactly the same form. It will be card and event driven.

Even though it's been 10 years, I find it bizarre that I can still remember what I was trying to do with this, and also how to use the lovely editor.

:D

Read the entire thread now. Very very interesting. You made a lot of work, it would seem a shame not to have it out there ins some form or another. :) Some interesting design choices too. :)

Hello :)

This will be much simpler than the original, and only loosely historical, but hopefully fun. There will be a lot of randomness.

Ah ok. I understand. :) Perhaps you'll make a more complex version later on :)

I know that feeling. Trying to put too much in your mouth at a time. More than you can chew, in a reasonable time...
