Triumph of the Reich
HI,
I Would like to start a new game for Triumph.....
I am currenly playing this but sinds this is a big big scenario the turns take a while to come back
but that's alright.
So I want to start a new one to kill the time in between.
I wil play the German&SS side because I want to try some things I play tested on my own and to see if this realy can work and gif Germany a good chance to win the game.
Now I need at least 1 player for the Allied side and one for Russia and If some one wants the rest of the axis side that is ok for me but I want proper info/communication between us.

RE: Triumph of the Reich
Sounds good. Please count me in.
As I play Axis in two games, that hopefully will continue (or at least really start running), I like to play Western Allies in this new game.

Until I figure out what's wrong with my system/game I cannot commit to play any game. I would like to play but I cannot until I solve my problem with passwords not working.

So we wait for another player(s) or we can play like the following
GB:.................Rufus

France:.............Rufus
Commonwealth:.......Rufus
Germany:............DRommel

Spain and Turkey I think they almost never get into the war and for Norway that is also a minor possibility

RE: Triumph of the Reich
Hey all, I wouldn't mind getting in on the action if you can use another. I'd prefer not to play Germany or Russia since this would be my first time playing the scenario, but other than that, I'm happy playing whatever needs played.
RE: Triumph of the Reich
Hey Navekaoy,
this would mean you want to play the US or the axis minors
So if Hatemf90 plays the Russians and Rufus agrees, you can play the US.
Or if Rufus wants to play all of the Allies than you could play the Minors.

RE: Triumph of the Reich
Sounds good - either one is fine by me, so if Rufus wants to chime in with his preference, we can get this thing cooking.

RE: Triumph of the Reich
Welcome to the new players (and the returning players!).
If anyone has any questions, I am happy to provide advice. As DRommel suggests, following basic historical lines works pretty well.
PM me any question (plus your email if possible) and I will try to help.
Good luck to all.

RE: Triumph of the Reich
Still have room for me.
Password problem is solved so I can play...if you don't mind a break in August while I go see the eclipse. Will not be near to computers as mine is a desktop and I don't have a laptop--even if there was wi-fi where I am going...
If the USA is free...I'll play them.

RE: Triumph of the Reich
@ Larry: Played the first turn of Western Allies (GB, FRrnce, Commonwealth). USA is still available and you can jump in at turn 2.
@ hatemf90: No matter whether you are familiar with this scenario or not. First time will be hard for SU anyway. Even a player who has already played SU in the Triumph scenario wont be able to stop Axis from breaking through the front at many places, Sovjets suffering heavy losses, no other option as retreat makes sense or leave some units in position to try to slow down the Axis advance and see these units being wipped out completely. Thats normal. Even after first winter, that usually stops the German advance you will have to fight hard in the second summer trying not to be driven back too much. You will have enough time to prepare where and when SU might stand and fight and hopefully in the third year of war stabilize the frontline. Then tide will turn and Axis will have to fight hard and will sooneror later be forced to retreat. It just happens at the first game, where I am playing Axis. Now at turn 41 I have to retreat anywhere at the eastern front.

RE: Triumph of the Reich
I agree with what RufusTFirefly says. It is a beating to start out with no matter who plays the Soviet Union (or Russia as called in game).
