Some Questions

Post by Jaws_slith »

Great game so far and has a lot of potential. Thanks 😊!

When can we see some additional factions?
Additional maps?

Will it be possible to combine factions in one game/ future campaign, i.e. US/GE vs SU?
Can we have more flexibility when choosing period? I.e. a period range instead of an fixed period?
This will allow the option to use old and new material in one battle.

The planned campaign will it transfer (damaged) OOB to next battle?
Will units who survive gain XP or improve when going to next battle?
Repair points option?
Can units be upgraded when going to next battle?

Looking forward to the first DLC [&o]

I'm not dev but let me answer for my best.

This game opened so many rooms for modding. I guess someone will upload additional faction mod and additional map mod. I'm also have a plan to make something, so I wish to learn how to make a big regional map. I wish devs make a mod sub forum and make a good PDF manual for map modding and faction modding.
Will it be possible to combine factions in one game/ future campaign, i.e. US/GE vs SU?
If someone make a combined faction which can be regarded as a single nation in game, then it would be possible. Let's say, I made "Berlin Brigade" faction, made up of British and US (no France since we don't have French in this game yet) Then player would be able to set up his "Berlin brigade" forces on the map, combined group of UK + US. I think it would not that difficult to make such combined faction.

As for single campaign, I heard that one of the dev's current top priority is that, and their aim is introduce "reactive" single campaigns in the first DLC. If devs offer campaign editor in this game, then someone would try to design a new campaign mod using such combined faction.
Can we have more flexibility when choosing period? I.e. a period range instead of an fixed period?
This will allow the option to use old and new material in one battle.
You mean, freedom to choose range for time period instead of single year, to select various units of wide range of time frame? Is this correct?

Hmmm... I dunno, this should be answered from devs, but it seems not easy. If modders are allowed to make additional time frame, then it would be possible? For example, if it is possible to make a mod for "1980s" time frame, and allow all units of 1980~1989 for game, then that would be close to what you want. But I'm not sure if such modding is possible or not. I'm also curious if this game allows the modding for additional year, or additional time range.
The planned campaign will it transfer (damaged) OOB to next battle?
Will units who survive gain XP or improve when going to next battle?
As far as I heard, devs are considering "reactive campaign" or "interactive campaign". Your score and performance of prior mission will influence the condition and difficulty of next mission. I don't know any other details about campaign, so I cannot answer your question further, devs will answer more. But I hope they accept your idea if they have enough time and resource to code such features.
Repair points option?
Can units be upgraded when going to next battle?

You mean inside the campaign? I think most of the contents about campaign is not developed yet, so... time will tell.

Apart from campaign, as far as I know, devs are more or less positive to introduce resupply & limited repair option to this game, some beta testers discussed with devs regarding battlefield repair / resupply option. But I dunno what is their plan and how they will introduce that option in this game.
