To Mount infantry & on map artillery

Post by adarbrauner »

Hi all, new to the game.

I can't get the infantry squad to mount back on its own APC. I'm pressing ctrl+z, but it doesn't happen...

Another question, is there a way to limit and order in advance the number of shots fired by on map art units once they have been given the order to fire, other than pressing the hold command?

Check if there is a yellow line between the vehicle and the dismounted squad. If the line is red, it means the squad is too far away, and you'll need to move them closer. Note that dismounting and mounting takes some time; it's not an immediate action.

As for rounds, you can queue them by pressing the "I" key button for each round you want to add to the fire mission.

thanks nikolas, and one more question please:
IF I give the mount /load order, can I give other orders to the unit to be followed afterward as well (playing in the WEGO way)?

If I understood the question correctly, yes. The main (and only) formation will load the units in range and continue with orders.

In the sequel there is an option to split dismounts from their vehicles and you can issue them orders separately and plan them more into detail through waypoint editor.
